In the second quarter of 2023, the iOS platform in Europe saw significant activity in the food delivery sector. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 food delivery apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, developed by Too Good To Go, showed a consistent trend in weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with 197K downloads and saw a slight fluctuation, ending at around 107K by the last week of June. Weekly active users peaked at approximately 2.9M mid-April but saw a gradual decline, closing the quarter at around 2.3M.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery, from Uber Technologies, Inc., maintained a steady number of weekly downloads, beginning at 112K and ending at approximately 106K. Active users showed minor variations, starting at 3.8M and ending the quarter at 3.5M, with a peak of 4M in early May.

Just Eat - Food Delivery, by Just-Eat.com, experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 113K at the start of the quarter to around 70K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 1M in early May and ending the quarter at approximately 955K.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more, developed by Glovoapp 23 SL, showed a stable download trend. Starting with 80K downloads, the app saw a slight increase, ending the quarter with 88K. Active users maintained a steady range, fluctuating around 1M throughout the quarter.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping, by Deliveroo, experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 67K at the start of the quarter to 62K by the end. Active users started at 1.8M and saw a minor decline, closing at approximately 1.7M.
